The Shadow Proves the Sunshine (jon foremon)

Sunshine, won't you be my mother Sunshine, come and help me sing My heart is darker than these oceans My heart is frozen underneath We are crooked souls trying to stay up straight, Dry eyes in the pouring rain The shadow proves the sunshine The shadow proves the sunshine Two scared little runaways Hold fast to the break of day light were The shadow proves the sunshine Oh Lord, why did you forsake me? Oh Lord, don't be far away away Storm clouds gathering beside me Please Lord, don't look the other way

From the Shadows

I’ve got greater responsibility now, the more I need God. It’s been many sunrise since I left Cebu. And obviously I missed them already.  A single day is like a hundred days here.  Time moves so slow..   Everyday I'm always introspecting about the things I need to do. Nevertheless, it’s not my first time to visit my home town (Iligan City), but staying here for so long is quite unparalleled. Cebu is where I face my giants, were deeper battles or war inside pre-occupied my daily routine.  Challenges and responsibilities were echoed at the four corners of my crib. But the good thing was, I'm so used to it. I've begun to grow and experienced a life were everyday I must wear my “armadora”. Maturity and Managing are the 2 M’s that comes on my pavement, or should I say 3, but it died (chuckles). Cutting the long story short. That’s my brief impulse in Cebu.               ...

" Where there is no vision, the people perish Proverbs 29:18" Let us mourn of our death. The death of the youth, for we no longer value or insights and the quality of our lives. I am placed in various situations already where youths should have been the forerunners. But the truth is we, the youths prefer to be just behind the scene. We just don't care enough. A lot of systems in our community need changes. We do complain a lot, no doubt about that, this could only mean that we feel, we discern and we realize that something is wrong. Do know that grumbling alone will not change anything. Are we so    pathetic not to do anything about the things we complain about? Are we so naive to think that we are not personally or permanently affected? We are the youth, we are the future. But we do not prepare for it. We will end up becoming the adults that we complain about today. The hard fact of this cycle is that we actually do not end up on the same spot that t...

Plastic Waste Segregation Machine Using Sink Float Method

Image
ABSTRACT Today, economic growth and changing consumption and production patterns result a rapid increase in generation of waste plastics in the world. According to studies, the world’s annual consumption of plastic materials has increased from around 5 million tonnes in the 1950s to nearly 100 million tonnes, thus twenty (20) times more plastic is produced today than 50 years ago. This is an implication of using more resources to meet the increased demand of plastic while generating more plastic waste. Having this implication, the research team designed and fabricated a machine, segregating plastics out of mix waste from CIT-University. Based on research, around 30% of the garbage collected inside the campus is plastic waste. This is essential to develop a plastic-waste separating system that would help the promotion of recycling plastics and in order to avoid environmental deterioration through reusing materials whose composition enables their recovery. The system is composed ...

"Our leaders come from among ourselves, our culture produce inadequate leaders and breed problems that leadership cannot fix, which generates further problems new leaders cannot address". (Dr. Myles Munroe)       What masculine is, is simply what a man does. Assuming responsibility for your actions; being sympathetic , sensitive, and caring; and gentleness are perfectly fine for men. A true man is not a hard-nosed, violent, overgrown child; he's a mature, kind individual. (from Urban Dictionary)      I understand that the most bereaved person in the world is a man who doesn't  gain respect. Respect is something we earned; it cannot be procured by a price or haggle by a trade. People respect you if you respect them, men respect women if they respect men or the other way around. These is my empiricism, these is what I see, these is what I choose not to be. Don't get me wrong, I'm talking in a world's per...
