SENSES FAILED
Luke 6:36
36 You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate"
If only men would understand and capture the very heart of God; we would be living in a fail-proof environment, where families will manifest their role in raising up godly generation; children would grow in tuned to God's perfect plan.
Unfortunately, we are misled by our own distinct opinions. Having different kinds of solutions to our problem that doesn't lead us to our right answers; creating cultures propelled by confusion; pertaining to an indifferent environment that harbor wrong beliefs; acquiring a mindset that results to a disturbing attitude.
I firmly believe that one of the predominant issues in our society today is the rising of emotional instability of men that makes him incapable of getting the heart of God. Instead of stepping into our devotion with the Father, we are stepping into our emotion.
God situated me in a corporate world where I get to see different ethics and lifestyle of men;
- Different beliefs
- Different personalities
- Different attitudes.
Seeing that state, the more I got convinced that men are in "out of context".
WE FORGOT the significance of our role as an extension of God's heart; being so indifferent to the macro-issue of loving our wives as Christ loved the church; failing to raise our kids with Christ-like culture and governing without integrity to every pillars of society.
Hence, we use the inability of our government as an excuse for our nation's chaos. We put our hope in every rising candidacy, yet we failed to notice that we as "men" if only we could understand and capture the very heart of God we can inevitably change this nation.
We used to think that "life is a race", we goal to get all the money in the world and then we become so inwardly focused not to notice our nation's regression.
The Nature of God
That very thing we need to understand is the nature of God; He is a person and He's not a religion. Religion is a bunch of rules where we get so tied up, consumed so much on how to obey those "DO's and DONT's" just to attain perfection yet we forgot to anchor ourselves to the author of perfection (God).
Why does God require us to pray since he already knew the things that we need? He's omnipotent enough to know the desires of our heart. He's an omnipresent God; present in all places at all time. But why do we pray to Him?
God delights when we talk to Him, He wants to create a relationship with a man. Thus, God has separated this chasm between Him and man for us to connect to Him. The fact that He is a person, HE RELATES.
On the contrary, we don't relate to people. Our nature does not reflect God's nature. We program ourselves as a bunch of rules walking around the corner wearing stuff, making gestures of perfection and giving those visions of deception.
Our SENSES FAILED
Luke 6:7-11
7 The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees watched Jesus closely. If he healed the man's hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath.
8 But Jesus knew their thoughts. He said to the man with the deformed hand, "Come and stand in front of everyone." So the man came forward. 9 Then Jesus said to his critics, "I have a question for you. Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?"
10 He looked around at them one by one and then said to the man, "Hold out your hand." So the man held out his hand, and it was restored! 11 At this, the enemies of Jesus were wild with rage and began to discuss what to do with him.
These would probably be the reason why men are not in furtherance:
-that men are not compassionate like the father;
-that men don't relate to other people.
-that men are so focused in following the rules than saving lives.
We are BLIND from Love but consumed in Hate
We are DEAF from the truth but conscious in reality
We are MUTE from the need but vocal in fleshly desires.
WE CANT FEEL, WE CANT TASTE.
